The medallion pattern of Garden of Paradise
As seen from the old carpet designs, old gardens in Iran and their designs in carpet have several Hows that are linked together by water streams. The garden or its design is characterized by regular geometric shapes of the four-edged, hexagonal, rhombus, …, and that there was a relationship between them. The origin of this project is based on the designs of Golestan and garden designs in Iranian carpets.
Of course, some believe that the original design of this project was first seen on the cover of Quran and exquisite books, and then carpet designers have been paying attention to it and entered them to Iranian carpets following the related principles and rules. The medallion– corner is a popular, famous and beautiful design in Iranian carpets, which has been used by Shah Abbasi School in carpet weaving in different parts of our country.
